STAFF DIRECTORY

Board of Directors

SWAT is a nonprofit, full-service swim club serving swimmers of all ages and abilities, from learn-to-swim through Masters swimming.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SWAT is governed by a volunteer, parent-led Board of Directors consisting of nine elected directors who serve staggered three-year terms. The Board is responsible for the organization's governance, financial oversight, and long-term strategic direction.

Standing Committees

SWAT's standing committees support the Board of Directors and help ensure the successful operation of the club. Parent involvement is one of the strengths of our organization, and members are encouraged to volunteer on any committee that matches their interests. If you would like to serve on a committee, please contact the Board Chair or email president@swimswat.org to learn more about volunteer opportunities.

Swim America Committee

Chair: Jack Chmielewski

Oversees the operation and continued development of SWAT's Swim America learn-to-swim program.

Schrank Scholarship Committee

Chair: Beth Borneman

Administers the Dale Schrank Scholarship Fund, established in 2021 in memory of Coach Dale Schrank to help support SWAT families.

Social Committee

Co-Chairs: Jen Tonz & Sara Henson

Plans and coordinates team social events, including the annual banquet, team-building activities, and other special events.

Meet Committee

Chair: Mike Mellock

Coordinates officials and skilled volunteers to help host safe, efficient, and high-quality swim meets.

Operations Committee

Chair: Brian Temke

Supports the day-to-day administrative functions of the club, including office operations and member services.

Group Liaisons

Group Liaisons serve as a resource for families within each training group. They help welcome new families, answer general questions, and facilitate communication between parents, the coaching staff, and the Board of Directors.
