Cheryl Barborich
Coach-8&U, Age Group Bronze/Silver
Email
With a passion for the sport of swimming and the love for kids,
coaching for SWAT for
the past 13 years seems like the perfect fit for me. Having been
in the coaching arena for the past 20 years and being part of other
swimming programs it is my opinion that the SWAT program and its
beliefs and philosophy is the best of the best. Having experienced
competitive swimming since the age of 5, I think it makes me a more
understanding coach. I truly enjoy being part of the development of
our young swimmers and watching them over the years move up the
ranks. Many of them initially 8&U’s move on and
eventually contribute to area high school teams and even the
Whitnall High School’s team that I have helped coached for
the past 10 years. I have also enjoyed working at the Southwest
YMCA for the past 21 years in their aquatics program. Wife of
Dennis and mother of 3 grown boys I love my family and job! I have
been truly blessed. Thank you everyone for allowing me to be
part of your child’s development not only in the water but
out of the water as well. I will not let you down, that’s a
promise!
